Section A
refer back to the brief in everything, never be vague
- marks will often be laid out as one mark for identification and 2 for explanation
- constantly referring to brief
- 8 markers- content specific, always identify whats being asked and then give a detailed explanation on it. Using key terms gets marks as well as explaining them and their effectiveness for the project.
- 3 marker- Identify (1), why it applies to the product (1) why it helps the project (1)
- PEE- Point Evidence Explain
- marks a split evenly between two identifies (EG a six marker 'identify two things and explain')
- revise job roles
- key terminology
Section B
section B is the worst answered part of the exam every year
have a clear understanding of each document your asked to make
cons for storyboard- little dialogue, drawings not always clear, lack of set specific information
- creative task (8) - alway marked on CONTENT, FITNESS FOR PURPOSE, LAYOUT and ANNOTATIONS
- Two marks for content (gaming app example: colour scheme, character designs, scoring or app levels) CLEAR IDEAS OF WHAT IT WILL LOOK AND SOUND LIKE
- three marks for purpose (gaming app example: content related to target audience, system works with the briefs requirements, draft being suitable for use in production)
- three marks for Annotations (gaming app example: justification of audience requirements, justification of brief requirements, shows your content choices, shows understanding of gaming conventions) ALL ANNOTATION IS EXPLAIN
- 2 marks for layout- (visualisation diagram example: follows homepage layout, appropriate placement of text and images)
- essay question (16-20)- PEE structure, Key terminology, justified conclusion, linking back to the brief constantly.
